, but I can tell you my mate phoned Harris recently and got a blank, although he did not speak to Lester or Steve.

Deffo had one when I bought my kit from Harris...but it was one of the first.

Battery for Harris

#48 PostAuthor: Magnum1 » Thu Aug 22, 2013 4:16 pm

I've changed the seat on my Magnum 1 and now looking for a small battery to turn over the 1170 Z1100R1 Wiseco motor. Needs to be 18 amp. Any ideas on lay down gel type batteries or similar? I've found a few, but they want lots of money!
Cheers,
Rod

I have a Racing Batteries one - more power and much smaller than lead acid but as you say more expensive.

Have you thought about relocating it to under the tank or behind the engine ???

Have thought about it, but decided to stick with the seat box. When you say racing battery, is it the lay down type? I've got a Red Devil that I bought from Lester about 10 years ago, it works but it's much to big.

These are good, but I don't think you can lay them on their side.

I'll keep the original until I find "the one". Need something lighter and smaller, that way I have space for a small toolkit, which can be handy on a long run.

Dry build is finally happening. We took 3 inches off the seat for more room and a better angle. My mate did a great job on the exhaust with a nice titanium can. Loads more to do, new A10 headlight on the way and a few other bits and pieces, before the paint and polish.

Polygon swingarm made from alloy tube. I had it made years ago to take the ZZR wheel. It will be polished or anodised. You can see it better here;

Note how much the new seat has been modified. Kept the old paint because my mate sprayed it. New paint will vary, but still looking at the green.

Hugger was adapted from a GSXR600 Suzuki fitment. You have to cut it about, but it's worth it to keep all the crap out the carbs and shock. When I took her to Norway it poured down, but no water got in there.

Lucas headlight and cheapo mudguard of ebay loosely fitted. I've always liked the A10's so I thought I would give it that touch, because it is a British bike, sort of....

Definitely needs a Moriwaki points cover.........
