Things finally coming together, MOT tomorrow so Fingers crossed.
I found a good use for an old loo seat while trying to free off the gearbox

Got a good second hand seat off ebay, not quite to my taste but allows me a little more time to get my original recovered, carbs and filters on and exhaust painted

I will post some more pics when I take it out for the test tomorrow, its been at least 2 years in the garage so cant wait.

Failed the MOT on headlight angle and cant have a retest until Monday - never mind, its back home and I can balance the carbs give it a clean and ready it for a blast next weekend. Here is the final result.

Very very smart , looks so much better in silver and with the correct mods the shape of the unitrak is really special . Because so many are ripped apart to steal the motor it could start to reach the classic status it deserves.
Whats next ? There is not much room left in the shed now !

Bike looks good, I would have thought the MOT man would have adjusted the headlight there and then.

If you want to swap your cut down seat for a standard one in good nick (doubt original cover though) let me know! Or even sell if you got a standard one coming back to replace it.

I couldn't quite believe the MOT fail either but it's not going to upset me! The bike has come out much better than I hoped for so another day wont hurt and the insurance doesn't start until Monday. I am really pleased with the way it rides, the new suspension has transformed it and the exhaust makes a fantastic noise, not too loud but wails nicely when the revs get up. The antidive works and it does have a noticeable effect. The carbs will need setting up, I have a Dynojet kit to go in but I thought I would see how it ran first, the filters are from APE and are as good as, if not better than the K and N's and currently a third of the price.

Martin - the seat isn't really cut down, it is just the stitching that makes it look that way. I have the original and when I have the time I hope to make a new foam and cover, this one will be available then but it might take a while.

Cheers for the positive comments
Dave
