It's from Electrex.

Bolts on the alternator side and comes with everything you need, rotor ,coils , cdi's, 5ohm resistor plug caps and kill switch (you can specify straight or angled plug caps)
The cdi units have adjustable rev limiters and the ignition curve is supposed to be adjustable but in reality it just relies on moving the backplate so it is actually just moved up and down the rev range along with the timing being moved a few degrees .
Actual timing advance is fixed over a 35 degree range.
You don't need a battery , just kick it off like a crosser.
You can't use the starter motor as there's no provision for the starter gear so only really practical on the early kickstart engines unless you got the knack of bump starts.
They are available for all big zeds / gpz's and others.
You are looking at the thick end of £500 by the time it lands on the doorstep.

In the end i had no choice.
The frame is so tight there was no room for a blower.
There's literally only mm's clearance between engine and frame.
I've even had to clearance the swingarm pivot tube to miss the bulges for the rear 6mm engine bolts and the engine won't even go in in one piece.
Good job the bottom ends are bullet proof as an engine out job means a total strip, down to just the frame.

Been pushing on to get the frame and other odds 'n' ends finished.

First up was a re-working of the rear engine mounts.
Gone are my original mounts which i was never happy with.

And in their place something much more fitting which tie in both rear bracing/shock mount tubes.
Right hand plate is removable

Left hand side is fixed and braced

Also added some final additional bracing at the rear so hopefully the whole thing shouldn't flex too much.

Next up was to mount a filler cap courtesy of mark (Pigford), cheers mate :up .

Remove the ignition switch mount to clean up the top yoke

And finally got the rear wheel aligned and fitted a permanent spacer/sleeve in to the rear caliper hanger.

Made good progress today on making the headstock mounted oil cooler bracket

Couple of threaded tabs on top to mount pushbike or digi speedo.

Brought the open tubes through the mounting plate for less restricted air flow

Cooler will eventually attach to bracket via a rubber mounted alloy plate and rubber straps

Oops! Almost forgot.
Also done away with the side stand entirely and capped off the tube for that proper racer look :D .

Will come up with some sort of device that slots in the hollow swingarm spindle, ala motocrosser stand type thingy that i can conceal on my person or somewhere .

Just thought, I can remember seeing drag bikes that used a triangular loop that slid over the footrest as a stand (carry it around in pocket type) bikes were 'low' tho' and pegs were obviously 'fixed'

Yes ! that's the sort of thing i was thinking of.
Plenty of options when it comes to it, there's the defunct lower engine mount that i might use which will put the weight directly over the stand.
I can always make a sidestand bracket that bolts to the engine if i can't come up with a niffty foldaway design for the prop.
