OPINIONS ?. Finally pulled my finger out and done something about the pulley guard. Originally the drouin one looked too bulky and very 1970's but my own version as seen elsewhere just didn't look right also so i've bit the bullet and took the hacksaw and file's to the rare and original one. Think the holes make all the difference making the cover look lighter and less bulky. Maybe scope for a bit more lightening ? or leave as is.

That's a massive improvement, I wouldn't do any more to it.

That certainly is the plan if i can improve on the reported 20mpg  :( the other drouin owner is getting. Might need a man with a van or some sort of in flight refueling system ( Jerrycan in the rucksack ? :D )

Excellent, i do like standard bikes, but i've really enjoyed watching the progress of this, [as i know many others have].
A real credit to you, be nice to see it on the club stand at Stafford.

Jerry, [who runs the club] organises the bikes for Stafford show.
His phone no is in the club magazine. Don't bother sending him an e-mail or pm, his internet connection is down.
