Don't know about sunshine jon, looks like you must have a fair bit of white stuff on the ground right now.
No snow here, just very cold.
I took delivery of the front brake hoses today, had a company off ebay make them. They do kits, but if you message them they will tailor the length to whatever you want and can specify different threads for the caliper bolts etc.
They are Venhill hoses, but the company is called 'Up The Shop'.
Great service

Picked up a second hand Harris pipe, which suits the bike really well, just need some longer collets or could I get away with 2 copper exhaust gaskets?

Good idea Jon,

not long now, oil, plugs and battery in the post.
Just a few little bits and pieces and Flying Tiger have quoted me on the paintwork and airbrushing of Kawasaki and z650 onto the bodywork.

Filled it with oil tonight, kicked it over and got oil light to go out. Fitted battery and it spins over nicely, just need some petrol and the plugs and I can try to start her up.
Bodywork needs to be sent away for refinishing.
Hoseclips and a hose needed for rear master cylinder and its rideable, whohoo!

I see the plugs are dispatched, should have them tomorrow, I went for ND plugs as have had trouble with NGK for fouling in the past. Anyone else used ND?

Just got back from a 2 mile test ride, all seems fine except the plugs are showing the mixture to be rich. So will be playing around with the carbs this week. Seems to pull very well through all the gears and the transmission is smooth after rebuilding the clutch basket.

Here is a vid of the bike after I took it for a ride.

Those chrome one-piece filters are notorious for having poor air flow :??

Looking damned fine tho' lad

re the filter Mark, already thinking I may go K and N dual type filters.

Had it running again today, without the breadbox filter which has helped lean it off a bit. I also finally wired in the rev counter and found it has a nice feature, see vid

I have boxed up the bodywork and its off to Flying Tiger tomorrow.

The bodywork is with Simon at Flying Tiger at the moment and should be ready sometime next month.
