You may recall from a previous post that my tank had some corrosion around the headstock area. In my infinite wisdom I decided to 'clean' off the surface rust and check all the seams while I was at it  :| :(
ok so I was a bit enthusiastic with the wire wheel and managed to create a pin hole
(Should just leave alone  )
All parts to be painted were supposed to go down on the following monday (2 days = weekend), no chance of that  . Mansged to call thd painter and postpone for 1 week,
(He kindly swapped my slot with someone elses  ).
Mate of mine in the car trade said he could get it sorted for me :hot

now becoming a long story shortened, my mate took my tank :) dropped it off with his welder :D who then boggered off on hols for a week  missed my new painting slot
welder returns :up :) welds the hole up :D returns tank to mate /me :D :D not had time to grind the welds down( been chasing hole, and you could trip over the height of the weld) :x
I (the 'heavy handed one') grind down the weld :o . Missed my slot totally now (2weeks)
 thought I'd re clean the inside  the pin hole is still there :dead
got up 'yell.com' looked for a proper welder /brazer  took it down, payed £20 and it was all sorted :D
thank f**k, now I've got to wait for painter to come off hols :(

Yes all the dimensions are the same, if you need it pm your address to me and I'll post it as soon as I get a chance. One of my bikes came in box's years ago and one of those was missing so I turned two new ones on the lathe and kept the odd one, knew it might come in handy sometime. :)
