Got the headlamp surround painted, lens polished and fitted new indicators, popped battery on, all electrics checked and working.

And my new HEL braided hoses were delivered but had a setback on the caliper rebuild, the seals I already had turned out to be too big so now I need to order a new set, never mind, the to do list is getting shorter ...

Will be better than new when finished as some spotty 17 year old will not have assembled it remember them days.
I have the same side stand set up on my GPZ1100 B2 but as i bought it in boxes can i be cheeky and ask if you will take me some photos of how all the side stand springs fit i have a genuine manual but its not very clear i have been on the dutch parts site and it doesnt even list it on yours or mine.
Thanks in advance.

Hi mate, side stand is pictured here

http://www.cmsnl.com/kawasaki-1983-r2-z ... ml#results

From memory the washers on the picture are in the wrong order, the one it shows at the rear should be to the front.

Once you have the bits I front of you it's pretty clear.

Cheers, Paul

Yes probably Paul they do them for practically all the kawasaki models. I got some for my H1 from these in Italy - like Tarrozi. Mark, here's some for R2 but remember to order 2.

I can't find the drawing of the main stand!
I'll start a thread in the bike help section, thanks Paul.
