dragged on for a while but eventually they done it, shame cuz he never bought another kawasaki after that.

John told me there's some oil filter somewhere in the engine that get very clogged very easily, but if kept clean the engines are fine. The varnish stuff on the alternator windings has a habit of coming away and blocking the filter so he tells me. I'll investigate further when I have some time. :D

I don't think he was talking about the main filter. But I'll have to ask him about it now I have the Baby Zed. He said there was some little known secret to keeping 'em going - perhaps that's that was what was causing 'em to eat cams :??

My friend had a Z250 twin that kept clogging the filter through debris coming away from something or other.
In the end he turned it into a unicycle that he actually used to go to work on :!:

Ralph, that's right there is another strainer/filter somewhere which gets clogged and starves the top end of oil. Dr Rod did a rebuild in CMM a few months back where he made one good motor from two and a few other bits

Thanks for that Mark. Wish you were with us tomorrow.

When I got back from town on my bike just now, I expected Bella to be waiting the other side of the roller shutter door, but she wasn't, when I'd got the bike on the bench, making loadsa noise I started to get worried about the lack of greeting. Walked through the house and she was motionless by the front door; I don't mind admitting I damn near shat myself - it was only when I heard the loud snoring I knew all was OK and that she is getting very deaf  Three would have gone to none cos Mikey would never find it on his own!

Thanks for the phone message - I'm gonna have one hell of a hangover if I gotta drink for you as well

Mikey, if leaving in the morning, keep the sun on your right. If in the late afternoon then on the left.
This way you have to be going North!
UNLESS, its cloudy or raining, then you may well be in Dover by 18:00  :!:
