Re the front brake. Yes it works really well, it's a modern brake and great for a bike that's used regularly. I'm not sure how good the twin disc set up is but I might try it for originality.

Nice bike. The front brake on yours works a treat I bet but looks a bit modern given that you've gone for a standard look. My 'b' has the twin disc conversion. My view is that it's standard given that it was an option you could have ordered when they were new. They are pretty good. I guess they are probably equivalent in power to your current set up.

Thanks Nosher, that's the sort of thing I wanted to hear. I had assumed they would be similar stopping power. You are right, I really want the std look but couldn't afford the twin disc conversion when I put that one on about ten years ago. I have all the parts now so I will do it at some point.

Had a PreTech on by Z1A 15yrs ago - decent bit of kit, but with the standard m/cylinder it was a bit wooden!






And yes the disc is on the right side - my preference at the time

Interesting with the standard SS disc. I have a floating EBC jobbie and it gives some nice feel to the proceedings even with stainless pipes.
