I would hazard a guess the only thing he polishes a lot is his manhood

I'd just ignore SteveF, as he's a bit of a "run someone down, it makes me fell better" type of guy  He has trouble accepting others with a bit (tonnes!) of skill & attitude

MTC lock up on the way Dave :D
Just need an air filter now, but I'll have to make an angled adapter first to mount the new filter to, space is tight as the side panel sits very close.

Right, just to let you all know where i'm up to on the rebuild.
After Stafford I have absolutely everything i need to finish it off.
Sorted the drive line and now have 530 x-ring conversion installed and the MTC lock-up is now fitted.
Jobs left to do:-
Cams require dialling in, finish off the fairing support brackets, bleed the front brakes, fit air intake elbow & air filter, make a heatshield for the drainpipe exhaust, fit the chainguard, fit the new 'incresed bore' fuel taps and tank, fit the bodywork.
That's it really.... it's just finding time to get in the garage as wifey has me doing a few 'home improvements'. Hopefully this will be within the next 2 or 3 weeks and I'll keep you posted with the final pics.
Shouldn't take more than a few days and it's finished and ready for that unbeatable 'first ride'.!!! :P :D

With Jerry's consent, I look forward to sticking it on the Z1OC stand at Donnington in February.

Regs, Will

When's it finished ?

#28 PostAuthor: Big Fluff » Tue Dec 18, 2007 1:19 pm

For the past few weeks, the bike has just sat there just waiting to be finished. Only things left to do is bleed the brakes, fit the turbo heatshield, fit the fairing & headlights and finally fit all the bodywork. Unfortunately the wife deemed decorating to be more important than bike building, plus the old dear ended up in hospital. :??
Anyway, that's done now and the MTC lock-up clutch has been fitted, the cams dialled in, the ignition timing set and it sounds oh so sweet.!
I hope it to be 100% complete within the next 10 days or so and will post some fresh pics of it "fully clothed" at last! :P
Hope veryone has a great Christmas.... I know I will in the garage.!
