The reason those welds on the steering head area look so stout is that I take a die grinder and blend all the welds in on the frame so they disapear into the frame when Im done,so I put extra in there to allow for what I remove without weakening the welds.
This works especially well on parts I have chrome plated,once I get done polishing the parts before taking them to the plater it makes them look like one forged piece
