Looking good.

I can recommend Trestans in Woolston for the engine to be vapour blasted. If you want to see the type of finish you get give me call and you can come around and have a look at mine as it is still on the bench awaiting rebuild :roll:

give me a call as I should be in this weekend and might even get out to the garage and start the engine rebuild. Done all the family days out last weekend so should have sufficient brownie points to allow for some free time :wink:

Hi All,
well, I have made a little progress since last pics, front end is on, rear wheel in, both wheels have been cleaned and polish including the spokes, took me ages..but the end result is brill, front fork bottoms has been rub down all nicks dents scratches taken out, wet and dry down to 2500 paper... then polish, :shock: they have come up very nice.. have put some of the elecs on, still load"s to do..........

those green scoring pads solvo and plenty of elbow grease :shock:
also I finish them off with a dremel...fantastic tool that is.... :D

Someone mentioned a dremel the other day, I havent invested in one yet, looks like my next purchase then. :D

JESUS, its been that long since I last updated my ongoing slow project Z1000 :shock: I have done abit to it...honest.. :P buying bits waiting for bits polishing bits etc, engine bottom is now back together :) so here are a couple pic"s,

Hi all,
Well, thing are still moving slowly, but the engine minus head is in :D went in fairly easy, I got a mate to help me, I used 2 10mm s/steel rods through engine mount holes to lift it in to place and used a scissor jack to take weight of engine, then lower it in to place.. :D very happy with progress so far...
