Nice work.

It would be a good idea to tie it to the frame also if you intend to put a lot of power through it.

I utilised the top rear engine mount on the Drouin.

Good idea...thanks Zed 1015...I'll work out some more co-ordinates and stick `em in my machining program.

Here's a photo of the top of the tank showing what a fookin` brilliant job Simon has made of the paintwork. My box brownie camera doesn't do `reds` very well...the top of the tank is actually a deep wine red candy colour.

Hi Ade...yep, kept looking at yours...that was crazy money he wanted for it... but I really fancied putting one together myself...and have enjoyed seeing it all come together. With regards to the motor...we'll see. At the moment the engine, apart from the bottom end, is just empty casings. A few people have told me they have some trick parts sitting in their garage that they may be willing to part with.

When I'm not fiddling or fettling me Zeds, a lot of my spare time is taken up with producing paintings for, primarily, the nostalgia drag race scene although I have produced a couple of commissions for a few current Top Fuel and Funny Car teams. I have had a number of exhibitions at the Pod and another one coming up at this years `Dragstalgia` in July. Here's a painting that I did a number of years ago that is quite relevant....Brian Johnson on his `Imperial Wizard II` Top Fuel dragbike...obviously, using the engine that was the weapon of choice at the time...the mighty Zed !!! :)

hi there .
wow that painting is good has brian seen it.have you seen my new bike ,not that its getting much use now.plus ive still got the original motor for the old bike sitting here under the bench 1385 auto 1-2 box and a V+H headthat i used to run with the bike ,that motor has gone 8.94 with 35mm amals ,think some 40 lectrons would light it up a touch more.also got an 8 plug gpz head on the shelf and a MTC head
if you send me your email i can send you some pic's and my mate that lives in the states has a progas bike with almost the same paintjob as yours.
