Hello Coldsummer yes I dont want to cut this tailpeice about as they are quite rare now, so i have decided to stick with the original tail peice and move it forward 80mm and fabricate a matching seat base.

Hi Steve

UNATEC Make the Z butts.

and this guy is selling them on ebay with or without pads (I'm assuming they are connected to Unatec)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KAWASAKI-Z900 ... 519779d9cc

and this guy has one at £45

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/zbutt-streetf ... 4aaf1ade56

If you like that sort of thing

I think moving the original forward is the way to go personally.

Little bit of progress this week, decided to tackle the seat base now I am happy with the tail peice location. Want somthing smaller than the standard large seat as no pillions required but want something less makeshift than the foam covered race seat unit.

How the heck would you balance all that together????
I'd rather be riding my Z1 thinking about God than sitting in a church thinking about my Z1..
