Hi Dave - about 10 years so I'm told. Wonder of the petrol is any good, must be about half a tank? Yea, I like the Akront rims too, probably get them re-spoked in stainless. I feel an obsessive spending disorder coming on

Braced frame, alloy rims & twin disc's........... That bike has certainly been 'loved' in the past. It will be interesting to see what other goodies come to light when it's stripped down.
There is a shed load of potential there, but your wallet is gonna feel some pain! Z1OC members get 10% discount at Z-Power........ You'll soon be on first name terms, I'm sure!

Well, it looks much better in the flesh, than your description.
Personally, i would have a go at getting it up and running before you strip it.
Drain the tank and flush it out, strip carbs, put some in-line filters on it, put some fresh fuel in and stick a new battery on it. [and spark plugs]. You never know, it just might fire up!
At least if you can get it going, it will give you an idea if the motor is OK.

Four pipes rule, anything else is second best.

I know what you are saying Phil, I'm in two minds myself, it would be nice to know if motor is OK before taking it all apart. Might have a tinker this weekend.
Also, it does look a lot better in the pictures than it does in real life, but not a bad starting point.

It's cute CS! I like it.
Love those Ali Rims - maybe hold onto them if you're not going for original spec?
Also someone's tried pretty hard with that respray - the lining/stripes etc are quite true to the original - unlike the colour!
Looks like the frame's been modified at the exhaust/rear peg triangle - might be a little tricky if you want to run the 4 pipe system? Sorry - I'll shut up now.
Will follow this one from the comfort of my armchair ...

Mick Z1a - For sure, a black frame is a definite!
MaineKZ - Thanks, yeah she does look quite cute, er I mean butch and muscular! Definitely keeping the rims, but the spokes are a bit grungy. I'm not keen on the colour, and the paint looks OK in the photo but in reality it is quite crazed and dull. I will change it, just not sure what colour. I was wondering if the footpeg hangers were original as they seem quite 'rearset' when sat in the bike. I haven't owned one before so hard for me to tell, I'll have to compare with pics of other standard bikes. I'm not planning on running four pipes so no worries there. Hope you have a comfy armchair, this might take a long time....
Hillbilly - The jury is still out on the seat. It looks quite good, and appears to have been done professionally, but it is hard as **** to sit on with virtually no padding. I'm probably going to use a twofour seat so you might be in luck, you have first dibs on the seat if I do sell, OK.
