Thanks for the comments, its been a bit of a slog but the end result is very pleasing. The new owner is an ex England international rugby player, I'll leave any intro to him when he's ready. :shock:

I can honestly say there is no more than £1K profit! That will surprise you but we wanted to sell an absolutely 100% reliable bike and at the same time try to acheive 95% originality. I think we've achieved that.

Would we do it again? that's a different question.

I had the honour of taking the bike on its 12 mile maiden voyage ( could have been 4 miles but i didnt want to take it back) to get its mot, i have to say the thrill of the ride must of been the same as riding a brand new Z1B out of the showrooom back in 75. I want to keep it!!!!!!!!

My own Z1B now looks very tatty against this one.
I feel another project coming on Dogsbollox??
Now where did I leave my Keys!

Dogs - know what you mean - three years on from finishing my concours project and still got a chronic wrenchaphobia.

So will we see this old girl out and about or she going into vacuum sealed climate controlled cryogenic storage?
