Welding was done by www.hintonpalmer.co.uk Who occupy most of the building that Griffs unit is in. It was done more as a favour than anything else.

Bowden auto engineering welded up the last one I did, cost me £40 & was done in a day or so. Here it is;

How do you check your front to rear wheel alinement after you have done mods like this ?
Do you use long (2.5mtr) straight box section ? or get the bike put on a jig ,and adjust if needed ?

i just thought with extreme heat, maybe metal could distort/move slightly ? or do they clamp everything up before welding ?

This is the third time I've had this mod done, never had a problem with distortion. Easy enough to check on the bench with a spirit level on the front pivot tube & another sat on top of the wheel spindle.

Only got boring stuff to report currently, :( but it all needs dealing with.

I had hoped to get all the bodywork to Hutcy at Stafford, but couldn't get the inside of the tank clean enough, using the Bio-rust I had left on the shelf, so tonight I've filled it with keithZ1R's tried & tested potion.
Cost me less than £8 for all of it & I've still got three bottles of cola left. :shock:

I'll leave it in for a week or so, then show you the results. :D

Don't seal it then shake it, or you'll end up with a 35 gallon tank :lol:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

What are you going to do with the left-over cola Steve?

Simon, I'd offer it to you to enjoy with a voddy or two, but at £1.30 for SIX litres it's gonna be shite. :smak2
Knowing you're a man that enjoys some of the finer things in life, I think you'd be better of sticking with 'The Real Thing' :wink:

KeithZ1R's recipe Mick, approx 4:1 ratio if I remember correctly.

Must be 'full fat cola' not diet & limescale remover as opposed to ordinary bleach. :wink:
