Managed to find a bit more 'Man time'.......
Fitted a new oil pressure gauge & the 'Blinged up' rocker cover, courtesy of 'young Mikey'.
I won these on ebay a couple of weeks back for £20.
End result looks like this;
Bike came with this cut down mudguard & what I think is a 'Catseye' tail light (original big square thing was included).
Wanting to keep to my original brief (Not spending money,
& keeping things as period as possible) I decided to re-cycle the tail light, but move it under the tail piece & do away with the rusty old cut down mudguard.
I managed to get a fantastic glass fibre mudguard from LondonZ1 ( I thank you sir
)
Then set about making a simple tail light & number plate mounting bracket. I'll let the pics speak for them selves......

Still not sure about the toast racks (aside I am sure - they're the worst taste crime of the eighties after duran duran and their limp wristed 'musak chums
)
That tail light section looks really nice - really great to see something so inexpensive look sooo great. Nice touch the way you used the original spec rubber mounting

I'm a big fan of modern LED tail lights & Kawasaki ER5 tail lights that look like they were made to fit the tailpiece, but these weren't around 'back in the day'. One thing I do need to do is get some satin black paint on the underside of the tailpiece.
