Thanks for the kind comments everyone. Probably going to resume work on the bike in the near future. Had a bit of a hiatus for some reason. Either way, going to start sorting out the electrics and stuff soon hopefully.

H**** CB900?

As for the FCR carbs: They're 39mm carbs that shouldn't be put on anything but a purpose-built engine. They're fine where they are on my 145rwhp GSX1100EF.

Putting those carbs on the Mk.II would make it more or less unrideable.

Started fiddling with the bike again a bit tonight. Man, felt good to be doing something useful for the first time in a while (been slacking off all winter so far).

Tomorrow I'm gonna drop by the local painter and check on some prices probably, then I'm probably gonna continue with the electrics and sort them out. Maybe buy a fresh battery as well.

Crap, I'm ashamed that I haven't updated more.

Anyway.

The bodywork is off at the painters (deep dark metallic blue) but he hit a bit of a snag. The decal kit I ordered from Japan (Doremi) was missing two parts of the set for the tank so he hasn't been able to finish it. I ordered a set right away and it got shipped out today so hopefully it won't be too long until I get it and he can finish the job. I got to look at the paint without the clear coats and it looked amazing so I can't wait to see it finished.

Otherwise I've mostly been sorting out the small stuff trying to get all the fiddly bits finished so the bike is actually rideable. Bought a front brake master cylinder tonight off eBay so hopefully that will arrive in the mail in a somewhat timely fashion.

Plan now is to have the bike ready in time for my vacation the first week in June.

Fingers crossed...
