You are right Bear, it does look ferkin great, and I is well-excited
The truth is, I haven't been properly excited since 1987 and nowadays due to increasing levels of age-related apathy and indifference, I find myself incapable of overt displays of excitement as a result of which, and as part of a local government initiative, I had employed a spotty teenager to do that for me. Unfortunately as I posted my response before midday he was still sleeping in his pit and hardly able to show signs of life, let alone summon up any excitement by proxy on my behalf. Regrettably, I had to let him go as he was only capable of showing any enthusiasm for the job after midnight fueled by copious amounts of cocaine and cider and as part of a larger group. The job centre insisted that I replaced him with a black disabled single-parent lesbian asylum-seeker and that wasn't as much fun as it sounds so she has gone now.

Cases cleaned and ready for assembly. All hole re-tapped and studs in.
Should have it assembled mid week if the missus lets back in the garage

I've said this before, but this is deffo one of the best parts of any build. Putting all those nice clean shiney bits back together.
That engine certainly looks a whole lot better than the one I delivered to DB's earlier this year.
Let me know if you want a 'lift' in with it Simon, I'll bring me 'kid' gloves.

Thanks Mike, it all seems much more real now. It looks brilliant, I only hope the rest of the bike does the engine justice!
GB - Thanks for the offer, I'm still deciding whether to wait and drop the frame over the engine or crack on with building the chassis back up? I'll give you a shout when I've made a bit of progress, you'll be more than welcome to come and have look, with or without your kid gloves!
