woo hoo ..... it ran...

#1 PostAuthor: 02GF74 » Sun Jun 22, 2008 2:50 pm

had to replace one of the pipes to the carbs that had hardened and showing cracks - WHAT AN EFFING PALAVA!!! had to remove the rubbers from carbs to air box to do it and still took best part of an hour.

then with some custom made petrol tanks (eat your heart out American Chopper boys) it started and ran, well it did after I put the choke on!!

only problem is the throttle valve is stuck in carb no. 2 .... I feel a "how to unstick a throttle valve" type post coming on.....

incidentally, the right hand outer carb -> air box rubbers has some cracks although is still unholed - can theses still be purchased? form whom? and should I sit down before asking how much!? :o

oops, forgot piccy

nope it is A1; as someone metioned due to the postion of the front brake calipers.

I took down frame/engine numbers and dug out hte reg doc. Was confused for a while as frame number did not tally with the info .... but I had written it own wrong.

So A1 it is, started off blue, then became green and is now red.

(which is what I wanted in the first place!! dunnoe what made me thinkg it was A2 now .... )
