Right here goes then!

I bought this Z1000Ltd in spring of 2007 with the intention of making it look neat as i could manage

The obvious piccies are the before stage, then the next ones are the "i'd like it to look like this"

The bike was bought as seen and was not started (really did take my chances!!!!!!!!!!!).

Any way, i borrowed a van from work and lad to give me a lift and collected the bike--took it home and really did think--what have i done???

Put some gas in it and stuck another charged battery on it and wey hey it goes!!!???**$"

Then it was all of the bits delivered to Elite powder coatings in Liverpool and many trips to Z power and then after a spell it was time for putting it back together

picked up bits and bobs of advice from other members and began putting it back together--it went back together surprisingly easily--i was amazed

Thought i was rally getting some where when, over christmas i got it running and ready for MOT, then onwards to get it registered.

I got a bit concerned that the DVLA might demand to see it at registration and give it a Q plate because it was going to have a zephyr front and rear end on it but with excellent help from Jerry Humpage (thanks again Jerry) so i put th estandard back end in again and got it MOT'd like that-legged it down to the DVLA and put me papers in--th elady tehre coul dnot have been more helpful and they weren't arsed about seeing it so i had worried for nowt.

Any way got my '78 plate 3 days later and got about putting some miles on it

rides good--oh ok it rides ok now --cos i had to change the clutch plates and springs the originals were un servicable

luv it

now i have flung the zephyr 750 rear end back in and found out the chain ain't long enough now--get one at stafford this weekend and set the back brake up and then it is as finished as it will be getting!!!!job done

Need to put more miles on it, i have done about 500 since i got the plate in january

OK---so it's not turned out as "trick" as the one i copied but its ok ish and i know it aint original-- for original i have my Z1R and the Z1000A2a and i r appy

don't know if i'll do another but maybe

What do you guys think??????

Big plug for Peter at

PSG motorcycle paintwork in Burscough, Lancashire great lad he did my Z1R too

does exacly what you ask him to do and he does loads of other bikes --too many to mention--if you like to trust your stuff to someone who gives a stuff then Peter is your man.

Thats it for now
