#1 PostAuthor: greenlaningxt » Sat Mar 29, 2008 6:05 pm

This might not be to everyones taste, but I am more than happy with it so far.

Its still a work in progress, but so far so good.

It's way too good for that trail bike light, very nice apart from that. :)

Headlight

#4 PostAuthor: greenlaningxt » Sat Mar 29, 2008 7:11 pm

I agree about the headlight, not sure which way to go with that yet.

Took the one in this picture off, because it seemed to big, although kept the wind off better than the current one.

By the way anyone intrested in the one off pipes in the photo, stainless, 4 into 2, end cans need a rebuild/changing, but the rest is in very good nick.

Well nice bike but think one large round headlight would be better, lose the fairing altogether
What price on the pipes?

What a tasty looking bike....love it.

For what it's worth my vote goes for the shorter pipe (not the under seat cans with the loooooooong pipes) and no fairing at all

For those that wanted to know, here is a list (not complete) of bits and pieces.

Harris Magnum to start with, wish I still had some of the original bits, but the fairing etc went missing a long time ago during a move.
Z1000 with 1075 Wisco
Some cams, not sure which ones, no markings, came via a friend quite a while ago
36mm Smooth bores, K&N's
Boyer Ignition
Taylor leads
Self made top yoke and fork brace/mudguard mount
Fireblade forks, brakes and wheels, front changed from 16" to 17" recently, makes the steering much better.
Ducati style seat unit, 916 seat pad.
Alpha pipe from this forum (Thanks Steve)
Trail Tech speedo unit, good bit of kit
Debben offset 16 tooth front sprocket, and a much smaller one than the standard fireblade rear (have a selection).
Own wiring, could be a lot better, GSXR Reg/Rectifier
Etc, Etc

WANTS, better coils, different H/Lamp, paint job, someone to clean it.

Nice bike, I'm with Ed on the headlamp, a rectangular one would look good.

Kwakanut

SWEET!!!

I love that bike! We don't get tasty frames like that over here. I just ordered up a book that has the specs on specialist frames. Gonna try to bend up my own one day. :beer

Course at the rate I get stuff done, I'll be dead before that actually happens.
