I am still waiting for my final plating and in the meantime I couldn't help noticing that my PMC 'road race' baffle was a little meek.

Well this is the 'road race' baffle, on the right, next to the gizzards that I have torn out of the 'road' baffle that comes as standard......Yes that piece of tube lying on the tiles would normally be the sole outlet for gas on the standard pipe....and it has a 'out and back in' diversion in the middle as well......WTF! :whoa

Well no way Mr PMC........this is how I roll: :rocks

Have I gone too far? probably..... but I still have the supposed 'road/race/MOT' baffle if it is too silly.

Whatever, my Vance & Hines runs OK with all the fibreglass removed
Its not too noisey either
And old bikes (pre 1982) have lax requirements for MOT tests
My Zed is due April 21st, so it'll be good for the ACE
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

My MOT man says that it's totally up to their discretion now, as long as it doesn't have "not for road use" it doesn't even need any stampings for modern bikes. He also says "loud cans save lives" :D

Thats going to sound as good as it looks   , thing about zeds they have so much torque you can ride through villages on virtually no throttle so even with a non silencer on they are not too loud, BUT under bridges, in tunnels Hee Hee

Great!! A positive response which is refreshing in the day and age where everything worth doing is usually deemed antisocial.

My mate has removed pretty much all the baffles from his 'arris pipe and much as I take the piss out of his anti-social behaviour it's not really that loud. It may be loud if he gave it a severe handful, but being a decrepit old fart we're unlikely to ever find out! (He is a member of this august community! though to my knowledge he has only made the one post, praps this will spur the old fart into activating his digits) :D C'mon Shaun we know yer out thur

Just went up t'road for its first run and the pipe sound lovely and mellow...Not 'nasty' at all.
I have got to tweak the front brake caliper brackets because they are designed for narrower discs and touch a little - but apart from that it seems to be good.
I still haven't got my brake pedal back from the chroming yet either but that should slip straight on when it comes (famous last words!)

I came to work on an '08 Z1000 this morning and although this has half the power it put a smile on my face twice the size of the new bike.

First taste of sunshine; (lets hope its not the last)

The sunshine gives a hint of the subtle colour.
