Wiring is now all done & dusted.

Took a lot longer than I'd have guessed.
Next up was to prep the motor for it's first start.
I must admit, I've not been rushing into this, after hearing many tales of woe with regard to 'breaking in' new cams.
Info from Joe Hooper & just about anyone else with an opinion is that the first 20 minutes of running is the most important for any new cam.
Firstly I wanted to check the oil flow. Cranking the motor would turn out the oil light fairly quickly. Because the oil has to flow up and back to the oil cooler before it reaches the cams, I removed the cooler outlet hose. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly the cooler filled, so stopped cranking...... Fecking oil didn't stop.

(Sorry no pics.... I had me hands full...... of oil.

)
I have filled the bike with Delvac diesel oil, again following Joe Hoopers instructions, as it contains Zinc, which is apparently a very important ingredient for new cams.
Next tip was to cover the lobes with this pink goo.
Cam cover and carbs re-fitted..... just need to add some fuel and hit the button.
