Got a 3yr old Granddaughter... also inherited another one who's 5yrs - going on 25yrs  Unfortunately only see them a few times each year, but they are great fun.

They all said it started to go downhill after your 50th...... how true that is :??
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Well I hope we all had a good xmas.
I was intended to get suck in to the GPZ but kids and family got in the way.
But now we are back on track.
Engines built frames powder coated.
Engine in.
new head bearings
We are now on the time consuming fiddly bits which are a bit harder as I didnt strip it and take pics or make notes of where it all goes.
I have put my new pics on photbucket but im useless at shifting them ha ha.
I looked long and hard at my whheels over xmas and decided to buy some more Thanks Felix they are on there way next week.
Thanks for the interest my next problem is when i got the clocks out of the box with bubble wrap round the glass is cracked should i make anothe or should i by some more would Gpz 550 glass fit as i can source them quite reasonable?
I will leave that to the experts out there.

Part 4 i think theforks are on the wheels have been stripped and polished and painted the tyres are on the engine runs i started it on brake cleaner ha ha no exhaust tho.
My eight year old has just got over the shock.
I bought a new fuel pump spent an hour fitting it and as soon as i cracked it up it was leaking out of the terminal posts so thats back of in the post.
Im sending the paint work off soon im going std red i think.
I need a side stand spring if anybody can tell me where i can find one the distance between posts is 8 inch.
But im getting there.
Ps i refused to pay £78.00 for a used mudguard from a very dear breakers so we are going with a GPZ750 one I think its fine but i will be happy with feedback.
Thanks for reading.

Very nice Roy, sorry to hear you have problems with the tank.
Maybe a candidate for POR15!!!!

I see you have the injection pump fitted but have carbs. How are they going by the way?

carbs are fine thanks i removed the injection pump after i couldnt get the injection system to work.runs like a good one now after i resealed the inlet rubbers to the head the only bit i haven't had in bits someone had used bolts with shanks on tight in thread but not tight on rubbers.
its leaking fuel around the badge bars im open to suggestionsdo i braze them or solder im undecided.
I also now have a member number ha ha slight hitch when i signed up.
its insured so im ready i think just need to repair tank or buy a new one.
There is one on ebay but its all wrong for my bike.

Without seeing exactly where / how it leaks; if it's behind the badge plate i would braze the screw holes up first (or single squirt with a mig welder ) and if you can get it clean enough, tin the badge plate recess with solder paste and lead it fully.
I wouldn't try to braze the full recess because it will put too much heat into it, that and braze is prone to 'blow holes' which you wont get with lead.
Stick the badges on with Sikaflex.
Take a little measure of where they are; off the front seam and off the bottom seam.

Fixed the tank yesterday cut the end of the badge bar off with the dremel
I had drained and flushed the tank first.
self tapper sized hole exactly behind the badge hole cleaned it all up and soldered it back up pressure tested it with air first then filled with 3 gallons of fuel seems ok not painting again for a few days.
But yes the sikaflex will be coming out.
Thanks for the interest time to find a new project me thinks.
