One day in a galaxy far, far away (also known as Upper New York State) this was discovered advertised in a local paper. I was working in Canada and Chris U was living in the states not too far from the Canadian border so I used to visit the family at weekends.
A few dollars changed hands and the stylish beast was shipped back to the UK courtesy of the company Chris U was working for at the time.
After blasting, polishing and rebuilding the engine and some of the chassis it then proceeded to sit in the garage for rather too many years.
I then got a bout of enthusiasm this year and thought about finishing it off in standard trim but after seeing some of the projects on here then thought "lets go down the modified route". So after a few months on eBay looking for things at sensible prices I bought this lot.
Now just got to put it together! Not so bad as I work for an engineering company and so can get any grinding, turning, milling, blasting, polishing etc. done in our machine shop.
Need new ignition if anyone has suggestion for a good alternative to points.
If the enthusiasm continues I might even have a go at finishing this one.
