I'll be adding a couple of small 4mm bolts - making sure they're out of line to the chain run - so theres NO chance of them snagging the chain as the slider wears

TBH they're fixed pretty firmly - so I'll not be bolting the lower slider and see how that goes....... as I did have a quick spin yesterday (before the advice  ) and it was the lower slider that had a few marks on it - none on the top one ...... due to the action of the tensioner :!:

My plan is to ride the Harris to Blackpool - so getting some "risers" and gonna fit some flat bars and see it that will be bearable for a 270 mile stint :skep
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Good Job..
I reckoned on you would have less the 2/10th of a second approx at 20mph to react to a locked chain if that block came loose, never mind doing 70 plus..
Really loose numbers, but scary, just mean to put it into perspective.

Enjoy the ride to blackpool, did that ride from shrewsbury many many times in my 80-82 days Swifty and i used to race up and down the roads..

Likely it will be a sober ride with the cctv shit, although no photo's after 172mph.
Go fer it and enjoy..
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, beer in the other, body used up, totally worn-out and screaming, "WOO HOO, what a ride!"
