That looks superb. Great job and attention to detail.
Wouldnt mind seeing that in better pictures or in the flesh.

Some good ideas that I can use for my endurance bike (if I may). I presume that the fairing is independent to the handlebars, how did you attach the stay bolt to the yoke.
Cheers Rob

Hi

The fairing is fixed and separate to the bars. The stay passes through a hole in the top yolk nut into the steering stem.

Fired it up for the 1st time. If I say it ran like a dream (after my 3rd attempt), I'd be lying. Trying to explain to the missus how to drive while sat on the rollers. Just wasn't happening. So a 200 mile round trip ensude to use the paddock starter which my mate has been using. When it fired into life it ran like a dog and the headers were blowing. Swapping the new denso plugs for old nkg seemed to help slightly. I decided to park it and walk away. When I stripped the carbs. Which were the only thing I hadn't touched myself. As they had supposedly been professionaly rebuilt and ultrasonically cleaned. So you can imagine my amazement when I found 2 blocked pilot jets and a main jet full of cack. Luckily I had some spares so they all got replaced. Fingers crossed it should now run a bit better. We shall see at the weekend

1st outing today and the signs are good. It goes, steers and stops. Nothing fell off or broke. Engine felt strong and pulled well, after re-jetting the carbs.

Well done getting it finished and with so little fuss.
I am still trying to get to use my J to iron out all the little issues.
Was that a generic trackday or are you in one of the clubs?
Are you going to the Cadwell weekend in August?

Very nice! I really need to get me an old race frame to build a bike around...
There's no replacement for displacement.
