Back in the workshop today manage to rebuild swing arm with new roller bearings and sleeve, had more trouble getting swing arm to fit in frame than fitting bearings, swing arm must have tightened slightly with bracing.
Shocks fitted

Steering damper fitted as-well

Also finished replacing engine bolts with s/s socket caps.
POR 15'd the tank then used the surplus to coat the underside of the mudguards.
Wife's just about getting over the dishwasher incident.

Better to have a tight fit - sloppy fit ain't so nice :|

Wife has to acknowledge NO PAIN - NO GAIN
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Set Back

#39 PostAuthor: Harry H » Wed Mar 19, 2014 9:45 am

Was all going great until 2 weeks after fitting the swing arm, fitted the chain and it touches, the bloody bugger-in thing (lots more swearing than that I can tell you) had to wait for my mate Shaun to cut and redo swing arm brace.
I know, I know my own fault for not dry fitting.
Any way swing arm tacked tested for fit, all good
Rewelded, re-tested for fit then off to Nick for re powdercoating.
As for the rest of the bike, its nearly there, brakes have been a pain to bleed, still not as good as I'd like.
More pix soon

It's always a pain going 'One step backwards' but you'll be glad in the long run that you've resolved it properly.
