Harry Klinzmann replica build for Bikers Classics at Spa

#1 PostAuthor: chriskid » Tue Mar 12, 2013 6:27 pm

As I am not able to finish my Moriwaki Z1r before Spa Franco this summer I wonderd wich bike I could drive instead.

They all have a USD in, so that is a problem.... the USD has to be changed into a DSU ...

I picked my ELR as a subject of slight change...
Just wantend to change the forks but ended up with a lot of more changes to the victem... honestly mum.....

Maybe one of you nice guys here can nick a picture of the topic here... http://www.motor-forum.nl/forum/list_me ... ike-1.html and put it on Z1 Owners ...

small summerize of what you see...

startet with a KZ1000J in ELR trim / ZX paintjob. Did some mods... and than i got carried away I guess... :D

Nice bike Chriskid, I think your simplest option would be some rwu zxr11/12 forks and yokes, change the top bearings and fit your existing front wheel and brakes which should work as they look like zx7r items they will swap straight across.

Hi, yes probably you're right, but I could lay my hands on a complete ZX6 front end for around 175 pounds and pushed in another Z1000 aluminium reproduction of a axle / steering pin (or what ever you call it..).

Some new pics in my Dutch topic...

:D

Nice bikes, where did you get the belly pan as I'd like to put one on mine. Good luck at Spa.

sorry... but it has been a while.. did not sit still though.... :D

At the trackday in Croix F. I found some things i did not like.... first of all the weight... so it lost 9.5 KG now.... ( and I lost myself also 2 KG, the 2 KG from my own bodyweight was the cheapest... )

Also I changed the suspension, my old ELR shocks are off and on are some Italien Bitubo's ....
rewired the whole thing becuase I skipped the Dyno and starter electrics...

foud out that i can win another 2 KG by changing the battery for a Lithium one, but that can wait to next year...
