My forkbrace was ready to pick up today, brought it home and started to clean it up, radius the edges and will get it polished better next week. Have a 16 hour remote area first aid course to do all weekend
I went back in the shed after dinner and did a bit more, I could'nt help meself and ended up putting the wheels on, so I could move it about. Even tho I will have to take em off again to fit the rotors.
Then I thought I'd try the panels on to see if I could think what colour would look good.

Was checking chainline yesterday and ordered a 3/8" (9.52mm) offset with one tooth extra (17) as with the smaller rear wheel and more HP it will need slightly taller gearing. Chain was just touching back of one of the footrest studs which were not installed when I did the dry build. I removed the stud and shortened it a couple of threads. ditched the nut and locktited the thing in.
Even better news is the battlax tyre gives a couple of mm more clearance than the Michelin I used in the dry build, so room to take up to 3 off the carrier till chain even gets close to the tyre.
Re the offset sprocket which turned up this morning, I am glad I did not have to go to a 5/8" offset as the chain rubbed on the back of the sprocket cover with just 3/8", I attacked the cover with the grinder and it clears OK now.
I can now see I will have to remove some more of the rear sprocket carrier to get chainline spot on, but it will be fine.
Ignore the grotty chain its an old one just for lining up.

Like sand in an hourglass, a few more things have moved on. The rear disc turned up a couple of weeks back and today the front ones arrived. I wasted no time in getting them bolted to the front wheel.
Happy with the way they look, quite a bit less metal in the carrier than std kawasaki, but I think they will be fine.

I have also trial fitted the rear brake pedal and found I needed to space the master cylinder in slightly as the tightening of the pedal pulled the shaft through the frame a bit more and the piston rod ended up touching the frame.
Having two spacers made which will allow the rear shocks to sit straight up rather than at an angle due to swingarm mounts being a bit wider than top shock mounts, the good news is there is plenty of threads on the top mounts to allow this.
Chainline now sorted, ended up with 3 more mm off the rear carrier as off the shelf offset was slightly different to the home made one j.b. leant me. If you need it back , give me a shout and I will pop it in the post, Jim
