Fancy Z Bits

#1 PostAuthor: Royalratch » Sat Jun 30, 2012 6:17 pm

I've seen some tasty engine casings on the various projects around the forum.

Specifically, pretty cool points and stator covers, some with various logos and some just look different.

Are these things available from some of the tuning companies or are they all custom?

Have a look on eBay first to get a flavour - then try the TUNING/BILLET shops - like Phsycoworkz (spelling?) - PMC .... etc
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Ratch
I have seen some transparent points covers for Z650 from time to time on eBay - don't know if that is the kind of stuff you would fancy?

Would need to see some pics.

I have some designs in mind and may have them machined up but if there s something cool out there then would love a look.

Look great.

How do I check if they'll fit?

Motor is an early 80s 750...?

They'll fit the Engine as the basic cases from B1 to Late GPz are the same, I didn't use them as I put the 1100 motor in mine, but you would need a C3 type Alternator that bolts to the inside of the Genni cover. You won't find anything off the shelf as no one makes stuff like this for 650's anymore...unless you go bespoke and have something machined from Billet.

You would need to turn up a bung for the Kickstart hole fitted with an "O" ring and circlip to hold it in place as these were/are for a z650 with a Kickstart.
