If it were mine, I would just do enough to make it road legal, and leave the rest alone, love that old abandoned look, far too many restored Zeds out there now.

Good to see the bike has the original paint on the tank which shows the correct lining something very few painters in the UK can get right.

That was a thought. However everything is too far gone. Rust like I have never seen. When bike arrived carbs were already spot cleaned. I installed battery and the old zed came to life. Last running 1997. I actually road 14 scary miles yesterday. Neck bearing shot tyres are the worst, fun ride the old hooker zorst sounds great
