Yes mate, came across that site today, us pensioners have time on our hands to surf the interweb :D , well it beats daytime tv.

I dropped the GPz frame off to get blasted today as well.

Cheers, Paul

You should post a few piccies of your previous restos in the Bottom Shed on here, you'd be surprised how many people on here would appreciate them.

Good luck with the build but it looks like you more than know what you're doing

Cheers
Martyn

Few more parts added today, me and my assistant Duane have been busy, ignore the bolts they will probably be getting changed for silver zinc finish and the bolt thru the pegs.

I should definately have taken more than 5 or 6 photos when I rook it apart.

Cheers, Paul

A couple more pics, you may have gathhered the kids trashed the digital camera so I am stuck with the phone camera at the moment.

Got the plastics cleaned up, the rear is shorter US spec one as it was the only one I could find, on Ebay US.

Cleaned the loom up and laid it tgrough the frame, glad I labelled most of it.

Tried a couple of the panels on for effect as these need painting yet.

Started on the motor, after a leak test it appears there is one dodgy valve, with the head now off it also has several snapped fasteners

Another small update, been working on the top half of the engine. Barrels were in good order with minimal wear so these were aqua blasted and honed.

The head suffered from a few snapped studs and one dodgy valve, after a thorough clean the local machine shop sorted everything out.

The cam cover was blasted and powder coated, if anyone needs powdercoating or aqua blasting by lads who love Z's try ProCoating in Whitehaven , 07760 277457

All the best, Paul

Ruddy, that is coming on nice it will be a really sweet bike when you have finished, and judging by your other projects I know you won't be cutting any corners.
