Not sure what the paint was some sort of heat res'/enamel ?, was a bitch to get off. Used Nitromors and hours of gentle scraping with Stanley blades/mini sculture chisels, Polished with Dremil, Washed, dried in oven (not too hot), I flush out all insides using a syringe (used for filling printer cartridges), filled with petrol from a bowl and pump it through all airways (millions of times) so you know they are clear. Or WD 40
Full kits from Z enterprises.....Cheap job now runs perfect...
Or if you're not tight like me you can cough up loads of dosh and get someone like Smethurst' to do them.

Year 1 EFF ALL, Carbs knackered parked it up, hence "Knackerkwacker"..
Year 2 sorted carbs m'o't'd and just rode it....Not a lot..............
Year 3 nearly finished my shed and have started some work on zed, just going through bike at present to see what's shagged and what's o'k

Checked shims and ordered, plus: Pingel, Ape tensioner, Clymer so I can burn my Haynes..... and awaiting, :save

Today i've stripped both my front calipers, inspected, cleaned put back, together (temporary) o rings perished, don't have any, one pin seized in each caliper, don't know if any newbie's would like to see photo's?
of anything I do.......
Master cylinder leaking, now removed and have 5/8 kit ready to fit,
Fiddly little bar steward and can't find my little circlip pliers, moving on..

Next bit is where you lot come in :fou ........

DON'T ALL SHOUT AT ONCE .........

Rear mudguard/light sits very low, you can see the mark on lense so obviously hasn't always been this way, mudguard is a shorty but don't think it's Z1 SERIES, very similar, (what is it?), bolt holes line up, What about light bracket?, See pic's.....Idea's/answer pleeeze........

May go for strip down this winter to paint frame, depends how much the misses pisses me off, if a lot, i'll be in shed, Hated the gold frame at first but it's starting to grow on me, it's either gonna be that or Gunmetal silver metallic or ?????? ....Definately won't be black :o .
Any way back to business......

I'LL ANSWER MY OWN QUESTION..........
Now had Master cylinder in bits, what a t**t to get out the circlip is, Had to buy a new circlip pliers and mutilate it with my Dremel so as to get in cylinder recess, Guts are identical to Z1b 5/8 & kit is now fitted and working :D ....
