Well spotted Ginger bear
I wanted the earlier crank cases because of the way they mount into the chassis, the later crankcase are rubber mounted and use less mounting points. late ZX1100 crankshaft has a better rotor bolt, its much bigger and this means the rotor/starter clutch is less prone to spinning off with high rpm, the earlier cranks only use an 8 or 10mm bolt, the later cranks also use lighter webs rather than the heavier full circle cranks, these are heavier and give more centrifugal force which make changing direction quickly much harder for track days. Hyvo chain eliminates the need for all those expensive and heavy tensoiner wheels too. Input shaft is from the shaft shaft drive so I can fit the slipper style clutch inner and alluminium basket, output shaft is from the Z1000 MKII which has the smaller spline. Regards, Steve
