Here's a picture of me in 86 with my modified GPZ1100 next my mate Darren's GPZ1100. There were three of us that summer with the Unitrak's. Sold her at the end of the year for a GSXR750F that was then stolen from outside a pub in March 87 just after having all new tyres hoses etc fitted ready for the summer. Bast's.

Stop it PJ you temptress.

Yes Steve the bars were plastic coated so Les striiped them down before powder coat.

Not long out of the Army and still running and playing Rugby at the time. Carrying a bit more timber and a bit less hair now!!!

You're only old, if you give up on your dreams, mate.

Btw. those crash-bars are massive, I hope you never find out, how much of a beating they really CAN take.

Comin' together nicely, I must say!

Oh well... cam chain to sort and Pigford's Vance&Hines Comp-baffle is in the mail... except from that, I didn't do much except a bit of rather fast riding.

Actually, I have a Jawa sidecar that keeps me busy and will get back to racing next year on a highly tuned CZ250 or MZ250, so there will be more updates in the two-smoke section of OSP, than on the Z, which I am simply very happy with.

Chers,
Greg

Finally took the engine out of the old frame today with help from Rick (stempy) cheers mate. I can now crack on and get the front end sorted and a rolling chassis put together. The cam cover is back from the powdercoaters and for now I have fitted it to keep crap out of the engine. I will give the engine a clean up before it goes into the new frame.

Engine on the bench at last.

Been busy at work but managed to sneak a few hours on the bike. Ted came round today and heped out so the front end is now on and fitted with new taper bearings. The centre stand is now fitted (thanks Taffus) and all the handle bar switches. Should have the back end fitted during the week and a rolling chassis. The two Steves popped round today (big green bus and steveW) and collected the spare frame. Steve told me about saddlecraft and has taken my seat away to be converted into a Lawson style one with gel pad. Cheers Steve.
