ok photos seem to be working , 1973 Z1 frame and engine , 1000cc head , bored out to 1200cc, I have stripped her down had everything that could be powder coated black done, put the new shocks on this bike and put a full new nut and bolt kit on the engine, i have a full set for the rest of the bike as well. me and a couple of big lads slotted the engine back in yesterday.

My next task is to clean the wheels and front end up and get her back on her feet, i have most parts to steam on now so will be doing a bit each week and will keep you all updated.

the foam padding is the original, i put it in an industrial hot bath for 4 hrs complete with the case as it had 30 odd years of chain grease on it and thats how it came out, just had to re polish the outer case.

The paint job.... i do like the one z power did so it will be something like that, already spoken to dream for a price , unless anyone knows anyone in the derby notts area?? i just have to get the 4 snapped off tank badge screws out the tank first, but paint will be in January.

A lot of people recommend Hutch who is on the forum, he is not local to you though.

But if you goto the oldskool suzuki site there is a guy on there called kenty whoes work has been recommeded and lives Uttoexeter way.

Not used him myself just going on word of mouth!!
