Old skool drag zed

#1 PostAuthor: zkeith » Thu Sep 29, 2011 9:13 pm

Hi! This is my long term project that I'm building from parts which I've purchased over the last few years. I've started with A4 frame that I've modified to fit the Z1000J motor I'm using. The swingarm is an original drag swing arm from years ago! The motor has got a lightened and balanced crank, 1327cc, 430 lift cams, oversize valves, straight cut gearbox, dyna 2000 ignition, lectron carbs, ape studs / nuts / tensioner. The green dream machine shite paint is being replaced by a set my son done for me. My plan is to keep it original looking-ish and have some fun on it! I'm also for a good J head if anyones got one??

Is the Guinnes can for the oil catch tank?   ???
I'd rather be riding my Z1 thinking about God than sitting in a church thinking about my Z1..

Thanks for the comments! not sure on power figures yet, will have to wait for the dyno! The rear tyre is a 150, but can go slightly bigger. Heres a few more pics, i bought a V+H Sidewinder and my son turned up some spacers, hes making me a speedo drive blank at the minute too. Trying to make some space in the shed so i can get stuck in!
