Thanks for the good feed back. :D
The forks are zx9r c1,yokes 9r c1 with z1r stem,wheels are 750 zephyr,brakes zzr front(same as 9r apart from colour) zephyr rear,JMC swingarm & hagon shocks.
The exhaust is Vance&hines and is about 18 years old,it's a little rough looking but will have to do for a while.

Danny is that what was formerly JJ's totally standard fully restored Z1-R or did you buy another one......

Danny was the guy who first mentioned to me that Zx9C forks were a good length for Zeds when my quest for USDs ran into the buffers....

It was JJ's fully restored Z1r Chris.
I took a mad notion in January to change it , so i used some of the parts i'd saved for the 900 + a few more.
JJ did a great job with the bike, but it was his bike and i allways gave him the credit for tne build to anyone who asked.
Now it's my Z1r! :D

Thats a KILLER (index fingers covering nipples) naked Z1-R :up
I went down a similar route several moons back.
Using Z1000 clox n top yoke.
A Z550F1 front mudguard. Z1 headlamp.
To my knowledge this is the third naked version ive seen in the club.
Tis a pity Mr K didnt think about this until he built the ZRX's.

Hi Danny

thanks for posting the pics of your naked Z1-R - from the looks of them you might have helped to solve some problems with building mine!

Image

I was looking for an exhaust that has a neater config for the down pipes and that looks to fit the bill - is the end pipe separate ? and if it is could you measure the diameter of it for me please? I have an old Lazer Exhaust in my shed - the front end is rusted to death but the end can and connector part are Stainless and Alloy so not in bad state.

I saw the exhausts for sale at Wemoto for £255 so not too bad a price either.

regards
Howie

Hi Howie, the downpipes are separate from the end can.The end can slips over the end of the downpipe and the diameter of the end of the downpipe is 59.4mm.I got mine from wemoto,a good price and free postage.
Hope this helps. Good luck with the rest of your build and post some pics when done.
Regards
Danny.

Danny,
Thanks very much that's a great help. I'll measure the end can & pipe I have to see if they'll fit when I'm home again. Yes Wemoto £255 is an ok price I think.
.
There's a thread in projects called HowieD's Harris with loads of pics reposted after the website crash. Also some elects info on another thread "Z800 thingy"

Cheers again
