just found this thread, answered this from page 3,then realized it's up to 22 so am slow, must learn to catch up....or pay better attention (ADHD) which is wrong also..have a million projects in many arena's of engineering discipline's which all require my attention..be pleased when I retire later this year and look forwards to hobby work for the next 40 yrs.Anyways..
1260 is a 78mm piston,likely using a liner 3.275" or 83.185mm diameter.
I believe a non std block is recommended.
I think it can be as small as 3.1875" (80.96mm)for the cheapies,am sure have seen this for a 1260 piston also, but likely more prone to distortion and shyed away from Debben and the like who want longivety with reliability,to offer to customers and their race efforts, but will go into a std block, with crank bore machining
Just recently asked Ray (March 2014)at Debben about 1260 piston kit in a std block and he recommends 1170 as max for road stuff..
Actual reply was from Ray
"I have experienced failures with the 1260 conversion to stock block and no longer supply or fit."
And recommends "I find the 1170 with .390" lift cams and 36RFS Mikuni carbs works well on both road and track. The 1260 liners in the stock block lack support,or grip, resulting in liner movement, which normally leads to the liner cracking just beneath the top flange. Regards, Ray. "
That Ray guy is a gem for sure in our zed stuff..
Thus if crankcase mouth not this size, then its back closish to std..
Excuse me if out of turn and info already realized, just love nattering zed stuff

Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, beer in the other, body used up, totally worn-out and screaming, "WOO HOO, what a ride!"
bled the brakes but their still bad!!! will have a route around the garage for another one to try. Renthal bars are nice, mid height, still need to get some end weight's though.Quite quick off the mark though! should be fun off the lights, may even surprise afew people, lol!!
