My Z900-A4......

My Z1000-A1 Project.....the Vance & Hines sidewinder has had to go due to R/H bend cornering issues....it's now running a Marving (same as my 900). Rode her last Friday, taking in as many speed bumps on route as possible to make sure there was enough clearance under the engine...all good :D

I've modified both paint sets so that I can swap over if I fancy a change.

Cheers guys, Simon at Flying Tiger Paintwork is responsible for both paint sets. The `orange` scheme was originally designed for the drag bike...I wanted something metalflake and garish...typical of a drag bike from the late seventies. I sat down and sketched out the design opting for a tangerine and deep red scheme...if anything the inspiration for the stripes came from seeing Rod Pallants `LA Hooker` drag bike run in the 70's / 80's. Here is a photo of the Z1000 wearing this particular paint set....also shows the V&H sidewinder that I've unfortunately had to swap for the Marving (although I'm still pleased with the overall look). I'll run the bike in the green for a while (some people have commented that they prefer it) and then I'll swap the paint sets over in the summer. The `green` paint set is also a bit trick, although it doesn't show up in the photo, the original colour diamond dark green candy has been laid over a heavy metalflake...in the sunlight it really pops.

Yes really like these too. It's nice to see that as a club we encompass lots of variations of a perfect Z and I like all of them. The engineering is inspiring but I also love the colour schemes.
It would be a very boring world if everyone just put bikes back to standard. Like some kind of robot invasion. Viva la difrence. It's why we are here.

The V&H sidewinder may have been impractical but it looked epic...
