Well hope you all enjoyed the rest of the run out and lunch.

I had a nice ride home in a transit van thanks to some knackered Zed electrics.

Good job I got breakdown insurance, the 113 miles home would have cost me more than my annual premium.

Better luck next time, I will get to do the lakes at some point, won't I ??

Dave

Me, Colm and a mate of mine arrived around 9.20 for a 9.45 start and enjoyed 3/4 of an hour wait for people to turn up in the car park:(

Looks like time you posted for meet differed from that in Loz's email providing directions etc.

A case of left hand / right hand me thinks

guys,

looks like that the timing error was my mistake, not Dave's really sorry for that. your only consolation is that we also spent an hour in a layby trying to fix Dave's bke and then waiting for the recovery van. After that, had a slightly curtailed run and back down the A6, by which time it was getting much colder and starting to rain.

we will have to develop a fool proof system for next tiem to be sure we know who is coming. It was good with 6/7 of us , would have been great with 10 of us !

Once again, my apologies for the timing c*ck up. Loz

Thanks for the photos Keith, shame me and my steed only got to feature in the first part.

Bugger we didn't all make it either, perhaps a text to confirm to Loz or myself will suffice in future, although it couldn't have been much fun spending 2 hours in a lay by. Thanks for sticking around guys, much appreiciated.

Ted, not sure what the diagnosis is yet, just no spark whatsoever, although the battery is completely goosed. I would advise you to get breakdown cover, it would have cost me more than my annual insurance premium to get home today without it. Also told today of some poor bugger being quoted £200+ to get recovered on a trike from Knutsford to Lancaster (no more than 60 miles).

Back to the drawing board then, that I'll teach me to say how well it was running
