17 August Sprint at Wroughton

Zorder says:
The Popham turn is the A303 junction of the M3 which if you follow it West takes you to the A338 which goes North to Swindon. See where i'm going with this.
A338 becomes the A346 and before you know it your at RAF Wroughton. This route is about 35 miles of the best roads the County can muster and a whole day at either event would be too much for anyone.
See you all at Wroughton.

Got a pass-out for this one, so get ready for ACTION :?: :!: :??

Andy i think it might be an idea if you gave some details of this and the later sprint at Wroughton (September 14th )because these are generally pre-entry events only as far as i am aware. (some day licences may also be bought for certain events)

That weekends run what you brung is at Santa Pod on the 16th.

ACU or VMCC licence / membership required i believe and limited entry criteria from memory.

P.S. these events are generally the bikes and three wheeled cars that keep their oil externally as opposed to inside the sump. Certain limited exceptions exist for those who have apparently supported VMCC events in the preceding months or years.

I believe that Brighton speed trials in another such event with rigourous entry requirements!!!! (September 13th)

What this muppett should have said was that ACU licences or VMCC memberships are required for some if not all VMCC events like Wroughton. Day licences / day memberships sometimes available subject to available places etc.

The Run What You Brung at Santa Pod requires a normal road licence to be shown etc etc.

Different organisation ~ different requirements.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH it's all getting out of shape!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy Z1R sort this mess out if you can please.

Piggy you have a licence??????????????????????

Andy Z1R drives that 1300 tank on the road. No insurance, no MOT, canvas showing in the rear tyre, no Tax, nearly a baffle, cant turn right, no brakes, lock up clutch so its either in or its out, and if he's got a licence its' because he coloured one in for himself.
Oh and an illegible number plate.

I have driven behind it and it melted the glass in my headlight and sucked the paint off my tank!!!!!!!!!!!

Nearly run into back of him twice cos he has no stop light and when we get to a right hand bend we have to stop and push it round.

It also does ten miles between petrol stops!

He drives in the street legal class. :cop2 :snap :ban

WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO KID???????????????????????????????????????

Hello Pigford, go for Wroughton on the Sunday, that`s what i`m aiming at. I`ve e-mailed the entries secretary to find out if we`ll be all right for day entries, it should be ok as i`ve done it many times before. As for racing licenses etc, i don`t have one either and you can just sort that with a one day licence at the track, so don`t worry about any of that. As soon as i get more info i`ll let you know.
As for my on road antics hinted at by Zorded, don`t believe a word, well half of it anyway. It is all fully road legal i can assure you, just some parts less than others.

Hello Pigford, Andy, I hope to be there with my Z, will be riding it there and hope to get into the low nines this time, I have ridden at Wroughton before and although its slightly up hill its a good track with a very relaxed atmosphere, luckily its only 15 miles form the Pub i am living/running so although my bike is about as road legal as Andys it should not be a problem, still got the bike to finish though so fingers crossed :brolly

Finally a Zed dragfest! Bring it on! Be good to see you there Steve and Pigford, and Steve if you manage low 9`s at Wroughton then i`ll be taking my engine back to Ray and ask him for a 'Steve Special'! It will be interesting to see what yours does, as ours were so compatible a couple of years ago at the Pod.
Hold on, i`ll get my low times excuses in now, errrm...there wasn`t enough grip so too much wheelspin..... i really need to change the gearing.......i had too many cakes/biscuits which affected the power to cake ratio...... :D

Riders will get there at around 8.00 - 8.30am, scrutineering between 9.00 - 10.00am, and racing to start at 10.00. Never does though, it will probably start at about 11.00am after all the general faffing about.....(including mine  )
