Not really sure if this belongs here now or in the yard because of it's content. (H****, Suzuki, Yamaha and the biggest swear word of all Douglas (cough cough)

Report on; North Weald 2008 Sunday 27th July yesterday; today.

Bast*&d hot.

Below are some short and shaky video clip links. Sorry if on dial up. Have tried to keep them as short as possible in some cases this means cutting off bits of interest. Sorry again but enjoy if you can.

This was Barry V and Andy Z1R grudge match turn up the volume!

There was a reasonable selection of classic American, English etc; couple of standard Vauxhall Viva's, Riley Hornet special, R1 powered flat car (no idea what he was there for).

Low light of the day was a Cortina Crusader nearly 'T' boning a V8 powered Opel drag car (Opel drivers fault he lost control and crossed over) but apart from that a good day was had by all.
Missed Bunny Z apparently, would have liked to have met but wasn't to be. Next time maybe

I think the filming deserves an Oscar but not the riding! Excuses time, you are only racing against yourself for a best time of 6 runs, so aren`t actually competing against the guy in the other lane, but i must admit most of my starts are a bit slow  . My best time was 10.48 secs at 129mph, plus a 10.50 and a 10.60, and a couple of missed gears runs (airshifter needed adjustment), but overall a cracking day, and fecking hot! Many thanks to Zorded for the excellent filming, and saving the day with the gear lever adjustment for the airshifter, cheers squire.
Nice to meet everyone else who said hello too, and great to see the triples representing and putting on a good show as always, top work! Next race is at Wroughton on the 17th August, see you there?

I have thought about putting a camera on board, if i can work out how to attach one safely without it falling off and bouncing down the track in a thousand pieces............[/quote]
