scottish rally 2008

#1 PostAuthor: FER » Tue Mar 25, 2008 9:08 pm

The dates for this years Scottish rally are 8th , 9th , and 10th of August . We have booked the accomodation at Glenuig for the nights 8th and 9th . There are 5 en-suite rooms and a bunk house with 8 beds . My idea if it works is to get girls in one room and squeeze the guys into the rest of the accomodation . You should be able to put up a tent in the grounds . Check out the site at www.glenuig.co.uk As with last year we are planning a run for a couple of days before the rally for anyone wanting to make a holiday of it , head out on wednesday the 6th and get to Glenuig on the 8th . Saturdays run out will hopefully be a trip to Skye . Food and drink will be available at the hotel . If you are thinking of coming please let me know so we can get an idea of how many people the hotel will be cooking for .

The rooms were really nice up there after the run up in the rain (we did have the rain god with us after all ) so put me down for two people .

In the absence of a reply or explanation I have discovered the reason for "no Z1OC at Crail " .
Andy it wouldnt have been difficult to let people know in simple terms that Ian had decided not to bother this year due to an incedent last year. hope the alternative works ok and you have a goodtime.
Its a little axpensive for me and the lads we will just go straight to Ullapool and Applecross maybe next year we can organise something that a little more of our impoverished southerners can attend :!:   stay safe

We were not aware that Iain was not holding wolfpack rally at Crail . The decision was made as the site at Crail was a bit basic with no provision for running water or showers etc . After our wee runs to GlenUig last year it was decided to go back for a full rally as the place is brilliant . Sorry I took so long to reply .

It's a nice place Keith - I'm thinking of camping as I couldn't stand the snoring in the bunkhouse last year
