Would any members be interested in a Lincolnshire Rally, Today I visited a pub that has a camping and touring caravan site, it is well used to bike and scooter rallies,
There is plenty of room on a 2 acre field new toilet and shower block ( 4 showers in both ladies and gents and they are clean and free)
There is a £5 a night charge for a 2 man tent.

Just to clear on this lads, this is being planned for next year ,this avoids any clashes with already planned events by other reps in the club for this year.

I know a pub that has camping , decent food and outside shower/toilet block and electrical hook up for campervans etc if you want an alternative / backup venue.
Every time I've been (30 +) the tent camping has been FREE.
I've been to a few bike nights and rallies there so know it's a decent place for a do.
It's just out of Lincolnshire though at Breighton near Goole if you want to be picky about location but it is a good quiet rural spot that welcomes bikers.

We would be happy to support it, providing a 'proper' bed can be rented - we don't do field dwelling
South West Rally is ALWAYS the last weekend in July so avoiding that and the Yorkshire rally would obviously be best. Hobbo's rally used to be in May and usually had good weather. Not many folk will attend more than one rally a month. We will

Now I have been preliminary talking with my local Kawasaki dealer friends and they are interested in bringing along some demo bikes possible on the sat morning before the ride out...... what do you think? obviously it will be all legal and stuff , I thought it might be a god idea.
and it will be limited with the time and there may be some pre booking in advance

Further to the above just had confirmation .two bikes and approx 20 test ride places will be available on the sat morning .they will be the latests models at the time so not a hundred percent what they will be but 1 will be a Z1000 .
Pre booking is required with driving licence and NI number being submitted via email prior direct to the dealer.
More to follow dont do anything as yet.

Ted wouldn't bother with this at a rally open a can of worms

Apart from the Rally being a Zed rally (pre 90's) and not a Kawasaki rally
I have no interest in the modern range
Although carry on with ideas to make it a success Ted

I just want beers, bikes, banter and a comfy bed not in a field:) I have simple needs
I really don't like the modern Z1000 ... It has no Zedness about it ... The ZRX1200R is a modern Zed IMHO
Mind you if they are gonna bring a ZX10 I wouldn't mind a short go - longer than 15 minutes and I would probably need a physio and a bucket of Tramadol

And an ambulance.

Rally venue rethink maybe needed.

I arranged a camping weekend for a local bike club at the Skipworth Arms ( the planned venue) the field and facilities the entertainment and the beer were spot on, however considering after numerous visits and chatting about the plans, booking the pitches (6 tents for12 persons but there was 20 people turned up) and other people camping and caravanning, the pub suddenly stopped serving food at 7pm saying no one told them there was going to be anyone camping and they had run out out of food) I have since been informed that this is not a isolated incident.
One other thing is that I was assured that the price would be £5 per tent however they ended up charging £10 and swore blind it had always been that price.
