Ace Cafe was dry all morning and early afternoon when I left however last night forecast still showed a few showers so challenging to make decision for those riding from afar.

As a newbie I met the following people - thanks for welcome, chat and advice!
Stuart - lovely Zed
Dave (Buzzard)
Peter (PeterF)
Steve (Ginger Bear)
(Mikey)
They were a few others I did not catch names!

I did not take any pictures however I think others did from the club?

CB, Mikey and a whole load of others all left Pensford in a bit of soggy Mendip Mist, which cleared after a few miles. We had a cracking rid down the A4.At Reading we took the M4 for the last bit before peeling off onto the A312 > A40. The last bit where we were at the mercy of the London psychopaths in their bike killer cars was a bit scary.

Met a good few Zeddists, but was disappointed by the number of wet legs who bottled it and missed a good day. With my back problems I couldn't have ridden my Z1000 as it would have crippled me, so rode the Beast instead. Mikey who was also in pain with hand and knee injuries braved it. His friends twenty one year old grand daughter having only just passed her test also enjoyed the 250mile round trip (her first long ride) and we kept up a good spirited pace!
