I have to face facts and realise that I am unlikely to get ST No.1 finished in time for Stafford without rushing it and ruining it, as well as the fact that I need to get loads of bits for No.2 etc that will be too large and numerous for me to put on the bike and ride back to Bristol. I will be taking my estate car up from Bristol for Saturday but have only got a day pass so will be coming back down Sat night, if anyone from the Bristol area wants a lift or wants me to take anything there or back please shout.

having never been to the stafford show before i'm just wondering is it the sort of place i'm likely to pick up some spoked wheels for my '73 z1 ? been on the hunt for a while now, ebay, swap meets etc but always come away empty handed, plus its a bit of a hike from guildford.

I am a Stafford Virgin ( bike show wise) as I always went to Kempton Park for my bits and bobs but now I have 3 to look after I need more and there is a Z1 stand to oggle at too !

You will be surprised by the absolute crap that people offer for sale there. You will also be surprised that the same bits turn up year after year.
That said there are plenty of good bits to be had and one way of finding what you need is to hang a sign round your neck.

TBH you are more likely to find your bits within the www community but you never know.

Go for the laugh and meet up with fellow enthusiasts. As Malc says this one is the highlight of the year for many.
